MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all the essential duties of the position satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.  May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including successfully completing a thorough background investigation.  For positions requiring use of a Company and/or Customer vehicle, must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy.

 

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Must have a minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in warehouse operations.  Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.  Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.  

 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS: May be required to maintain a valid state driver’s license.
